Where are my files stored?
On your device, inside the app. There is no cloud sync and no account. If you have iCloud Backup turned on, your data is included in your normal device backup, by your choice.
How do I lock a folder?
Long-press a folder and choose the padlock icon from the selection panel at the bottom, then set a passcode. Once a passcode is set, the next time you go to unlock the folder it will ask if you want to use Face ID or Touch ID for easier access. This feature requires the Falcon Pro purchase.
How do I use Folder Link?
Press New, then choose the folder link icon (requires the Falcon Pro upgrade), then choose an existing folder on your device, and it will be added as a folder right inside the Falcon app. Changes stay synced with the existing folder, whether you edit it in Falcon or another app.
What do these icons mean above my folders?
If you mean the row of five icons above your folders, that's the layout toolbar. Pull the screen down and a label appears above each button. In order, they are:
- Grid / list view
- M Thumbnail resize
- Padding on / off
- Thumbnail aspect ratio
- Hide names (in grid view), or hide thumbnails (in list view)
I deleted something by mistake. Can I get it back?
Yes, when Trash is enabled. Deleted items move to the Trash, where you can restore them.
Which video and audio formats are supported?
Video: MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, FLV and WMV. Audio: MP3, M4A, AAC, FLAC, WAV and OGG.
How do I move files from my computer?
Open Settings and turn on Wi-Fi Transfer, then enter the address it shows into a web browser on your computer (both devices on the same Wi-Fi) to upload and download files.
How do I play a video on my TV?
Open a video and use either the AirPlay button (bottom left) or the cast button (bottom right), then find your device in the window that appears and select it. Supports Screen Mirroring, Google Cast and DLNA.
How do I restore my Pro purchase?
Go to Settings and choose Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple ID you bought it with.
Does the app collect my data?
No. Falcon does not track you, show ads, or send your files anywhere. The only thing it sends is an automatic crash report if something goes wrong, containing no files and nothing that identifies you. See our privacy policy.
